Her Journey
Deepmala always enjoyed the media landscape. After graduating from college, she worked in a newsroom and then anchored a month-long travel show where she learned the technical aspects of shooting a show. She then worked with AM Films & Advertising and other production houses before becoming a freelance director. In 2010, she founded The Visual House and started with an initial investment of ten thousand rupees. Today, it has grown into a business grossing five crore in revenue.

The Visual House is an integrated creative communication agency and production company that helps organizations manage their brands and connect to their target audiences effectively. The Visual House provides their clients with branding solutions and video production services. They are associated with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) & Directorate of Advertising and Visual publicity (DAVP). Their clientele includes United Nations bodies such as UNICEF, UNAIDS, UN Women and WHO. Within India, The Visual House has worked with companies like ITC Limited, BCG Bank, and governmental bodies like the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. The Visual House is highly acclaimed and won the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2018 for Best Emerging Ads, Documentary, and Short Films production house.
