Nikita Gupta is the Co-Founder & CTO of Symba, an all-female founded social impact tech startup. Recently, she was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 and Halcyon Fellow. Previously, she worked at Apple, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and a few other startups as a software engineer. Nikita graduated from Cornell University (Ithaca, NY) with a BSc. in Computer Science and a minor in Business and Entrepreneurship.

Symba connects companies with the best talent and helps them manage the entire remote internship experience. The company is dedicated to removing barriers of entry to the workforce with a comprehensive solution simplifying the management of interns, enabling organizations to hire the best talent, and allowing employers to design best practices around their internship programs. Symba has worked with several clients including Chewy, Robinhood, and Genentech and is backed by 1517 Fund, Hustle Fund, January Ventures, and Techstars. Symba was recently featured on TechCrunch, The Washington Post, and Forbes.


Her Journey 

A year after graduating from Cornell, Nikita launched Symba with her co-founder and CEO Ahva Sadeghi. Nikita has always been passionate about using technology to help communities, and launched Symba with a vision to change the future of work. Her entrepreneurial background and technical problem-solving skills have allowed her to identify ways technology can be used to improve internship management. Nikita has applied her technical expertise to develop Symba’s platform all the way from the backend infrastructure to the frontend design schema. The company has been featured in various publications including The Washington Post, TeenVogue, Fortune and Forbes.
